OTTAVA robotic surgical system incorporates four robotic arms into a standard size surgical table. This unified architecture allows for an invisible design, with the robotic arms available when needed or stowed under the surgical table when not. The design removes barriers to movement and collaboration in robotic operating rooms and offers surgical teams the freedom and flexibility to adapt to clinical workflows and individualized patient needs.

Worked on robotic arms that precisely controlled each joint, making movement easier and more efficient for surgical procedures. Focused on designing forms that are easy to grip and interact with, as well as intuitive touchpoints that help users understand which buttons control each joint. Additionally, fine-tuned the force and button travel to enhance clarity and reduce user fatigue.

Color, Material, and Finish

  • White (Main Body): Chosen for a sanitary look and to seamlessly blend into the surgical environment.

  • Black (Touchpoints): Applied to key areas like handles and edges to enhance visibility and usability.

  • Metallic Accents: Small, sporadic metal elements elevate the overall aesthetic, giving the design a more premium feel.

  • Teal Light Accents: A strong contrast against the white and black base, providing clear visual cues for users.

  • Matte & Textured Finish: Ensures a non-slip surface, especially under surgical drapes.
